In more detail
Many members begin by building and testing with users while their legal setup is still being decided. Incorporating early, before you know what you are selling, mostly costs you money and flexibility.
When you are ready, the authoritative sources are Thailand's Department of Business Development for company registration and the Board of Investment for incentives and long-term visa routes. Rules change, so treat any advice from a community member as a starting point, not as legal advice.
Inside the community you can ask people who have already registered a Thai company, hired locally or gone through BOI, which usually shortens the research a lot.
How to do it
- 1Validate the product before spending on structure.
- 2Read the official guidance at dbd.go.th and boi.go.th.
- 3Talk to a Thai corporate lawyer or accountant before signing anything.
- 4Ask members who have done it recently what actually happened in practice.
